Why scholarship payments get stuck
- Bank account not seeded with Aadhaar or not enabled for DBT (“UID not enabled for DBT”).
- Income certificate not issued by the tehsil, or not in a parent’s name.
- School/college did not verify the form in time (L1: 15 November 2026).
- Name spelt differently in Aadhaar, bank account and marksheet.
- No OTR, or the wrong scheme chosen.
- Renewal not filed on time.
How to apply on NSP
- Create your OTR (One Time Registration) on scholarships.gov.in. Face authentication is done with the “NSP OTR” and “AadhaarFaceRD” apps. You can also get it done at a CSC.
- Log in with your OTR number, choose the scheme and fill the form.
- Upload your income and caste certificates, last marksheet, fee receipt and bank passbook.
- Submit a printout of the form at your school/college so they can verify it.
