Telangana gives a one-time ₹1,00,116 to a bride’s family at marriage: Kalyana Lakshmi for SC, ST, BC and EBC families and Shaadi Mubarak for minority families. The parents’ income must be within ₹2 lakh a year; for BC/EBC families in rural areas the limit is ₹1.5 lakh (official ePASS page, 29 October 2026). The bride must be at least 18. The application is made on the ePASS portal (telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in), and the portal now asks for the bride’s mother’s bank account.

The amount was raised from ₹75,116 to ₹1,00,116 in March 2018 and has not changed since*. The Congress manifesto (2023) promised one tola of gold in addition; we found no government order implementing it as of 29 October 2026*.
Rules
- Bride: resident of Telangana, 18 years or older on the marriage date; groom 21 or older.
- Income of the bride’s parents within the limit (income certificate from MeeSeva).
- Apply after the marriage is fixed and soon after it is held; late applications are often returned*.
- Money is paid by DBT; the portal now requires the bride’s mother’s bank account details for verification.

- Open telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in → Kalyana Lakshmi / Shaadi Mubarak → Registration.
- Fill bride, groom and parents’ details, upload documents, print the form.
- Submit at the tahsildar office / MeeSeva as told; the VRO / RI verifies, the MLA sanction follows.
- Status: same page → “Print / Status” with the application number.
