A family qualifies for a Telangana Food Security (ration) card if its yearly income is below ₹1.5 lakh in villages or ₹2 lakh in towns, and it owns less than 3.5 acres of wet land or 7.5 acres of dry land. Card holders get 6 kg of free fine rice (sanna biyyam) per person every month since April 2025; Antyodaya (AAY) cards get 35 kg per card. New cards are issued as smart cards after field verification*.

How to apply
- Apply at the MeeSeva centre (or Praja Palana / Praja Vani camps when held) with Aadhaar of all members.
- Income certificate, address proof, photo, and gas connection details.
- Officers verify at home; the list is placed before the Gram Sabha / ward sabha.
- Approved families get the smart ration card; e-KYC of all members at the ration shop is required.

- Or ask at the MeeSeva centre with the receipt number.
- To add a member (newborn, daughter-in-law), apply “Member addition” at MeeSeva with Aadhaar and birth / marriage certificate.
