Karnataka’s five guarantees are: Gruha Lakshmi (₹2,000 a month to the woman head of every ration-card family, if no income-tax / GST filer), Yuva Nidhi (₹3,000 a month for unemployed graduates, ₹1,500 for diploma holders, for up to 2 years), Anna Bhagya (10 kg rice per person for BPL cards), Shakti (free bus travel for women) and Gruha Jyothi (free power up to your limit, max 200 units). Common reasons a guarantee is not reaching you
- Gruha Lakshmi: the ration card shows a man as head; get the head changed at the food department (ahara) first.
- Gruha Lakshmi: Aadhaar not seeded with the bank account in NPCI (DBT fails); check on the DBT Karnataka app.
- Gruha Lakshmi: a GST or income-tax return was filed by her or her husband in the data match.
- Yuva Nidhi: the monthly self-declaration was not submitted, or you are on a job / higher studies roll (EPFO / university data).
- Anna Bhagya: e-KYC of a member not done, or the card is APL.
- Gruha Jyothi: crossed 200 units in a month, or one Aadhaar linked to two meters.

Budget 2026-27 kept all five, with ₹28,608 crore for Gruha Lakshmi and ₹5,300 crore for Shakti*. Delays of one to three months in Gruha Lakshmi instalments have been reported; pending months are usually paid together*.

Who is eligible for Gruha Lakshmi? The woman named as head of the family on a BPL, AAY or APL ration card, if neither she nor her husband files income-tax or GST returns.
Why is my Gruha Lakshmi money not credited? Most often the Aadhaar-bank seeding (NPCI) is missing, the card head is not the woman, or a GST / income-tax return was found. Check on the DBT Karnataka app.
How much is Yuva Nidhi? ₹3,000 a month for graduates and ₹1,500 for diploma holders, for up to 2 years or until you get a job.
Is Shakti free bus for all women? For women and transgender persons living in Karnataka, in non-AC government buses within the state (not luxury / AC services).
How much rice does Anna Bhagya give? 10 kg per person a month for BPL cards: 5 kg under NFSA and 5 kg from the state*. AAY cards get 35 kg per card under NFSA.
