Worked example: ₹25 lakh unit run by a woman
An APST woman sets up a ₹25 lakh food-processing unit (machinery and working capital; her own land). DDUSY subsidy is 40% = ₹10,00,000. She puts in 10% = ₹2,50,000, so the bank sanctions ₹22,50,000; the subsidy is credited up front and she repays ₹12,50,000. At 11% for 7 years the EMI is about ₹21,403 a month. The 5% interest subvention is about ₹59,680 in year 1, falling to ₹6,668 in year 7 — ₹2,49,025 in all. Total state benefit: about ₹12.49 lakh. A man with the same project gets ₹10 lakh.

DDUSY: frequently asked questions
How much subsidy does DDUSY give in 2026? Under the 2026–2030 cycle, DDUSY gives a 40% front-ended capital subsidy on projects above ₹10 lakh and up to ₹50 lakh, not counting land and building. That is ₹4 lakh to ₹20 lakh. Women also get 5% a year interest subvention on the bank loan while it is not NPA.
Is DDUSY subsidy 30% or 40%? Both figures appear online. Older notices (2018–2019) say 30% back-ended on projects of ₹10 lakh to ₹1 crore. The DDUSY portal FAQ and the 2026–2030 Tawang notice say 40% front-ended on ₹10–50 lakh. We use 40% and show the older figure for comparison.
How much loan will I get and how much must I put in? You put in at least 10% of the project cost (the FAQ says 10–30%, with preference to people who put in more). The bank lends the rest, and the 40% subsidy is credited against that loan, so you repay about 30–50% of the project cost.
Who is eligible for DDUSY? Unemployed APST youth of Arunachal Pradesh setting up a new enterprise. The 2026–2030 notice also mentions PRC holders and sets age 18–45 and at least 12th pass; older notices did not have these limits, so confirm with your DLSC.
What documents are needed for DDUSY? ID proof, ST certificate (APST) or Permanent Resident Certificate, residence proof (voter card, electricity bill or passport), proof of business address, a detailed project report, educational certificates, bank details and a no-dues certificate from the bank (Changlang DLSC notice lists these).
Can I get DDUSY for a project under ₹10 lakh? No. DDUSY starts above ₹10 lakh. For smaller projects the DDUSY FAQ points to a bank Mudra loan; you can also check PMEGP, which has its own subsidy.
How do I apply online for DDUSY? Apply on ddusyarunachal.in when your district’s round is open, upload your documents and project report, and attend the DLSC interview. After selection the bank sanctions the loan.
