Vidyasiri (food and accommodation)
Vidyasiri helps BC and minority students who study away from home and did not get a seat in a government hostel: about ₹1,500 a month for 10 months (₹15,000 a year)*, paid by DBT. It is applied for on SSP with the post-matric form; income limits are the same as the post-matric scholarship.
How to apply on SSP
- Create your SSP student ID with Aadhaar (e-KYC) and the SATS / previous marks details.
- Fill the post-matric form; tick Vidyasiri / Raitha Vidya Nidhi if they apply.
- Upload caste and income certificate numbers (RD numbers from Nadakacheri).
- Submit, then get it verified by your college; departments approve and pay by DBT to the Aadhaar-seeded account.
Why SSP payments get stuck
- Aadhaar not seeded with bank (NPCI) or name mismatch between Aadhaar, SATS and bank.
- Caste / income RD number expired or of a different name.
- College did not verify the application before the last date.
- Fee details entered by the college are wrong; ask the college scholarship desk.
- Check: SSP → “Track Student Scholarship Status” with your SATS / student ID and year.
