Looking for Jharkhand CMEGP (Mukhyamantri Rojgar Srijan Yojana)? Use the CMEGP Jharkhand calculator.
CMEGP, Maharashtra’s self-employment scheme, gives a 15% to 35% subsidy on new projects up to ₹50 lakh (manufacturing) or ₹20 lakh (service, agro, e-vehicle transport). You put in 5–10% and a bank lends the rest. Check your subsidy, loan and EMI below. Free, no login.

Free estimate, not approval. CMEGP (Chief Minister Employment Generation Programme), Directorate of Industries, Maharashtra. Subsidy 15% / 25% (general, urban / rural) and 25% / 35% (special category); own share 10% / 5%; project limit ₹50 lakh manufacturing, ₹20 lakh service, agro, e-vehicle goods transport and other business. Official portal: maha-cmegp.gov.in. Rules verified on 11 Oct 2026.
Example: ₹25 lakh masala unit in rural Nashik
A woman in a village in Nashik district sets up a ₹25 lakh masala grinding and packing unit (manufacturing, rural, special category). Subsidy 35% = ₹8,75,000. Her own share is 5% = ₹1,25,000 and the bank lends ₹23,75,000. At 11% for 5 years the EMI is about ₹51,638. After 3 years the subsidy is adjusted, so she really repays about ₹15 lakh of the loan. PMEGP would give the same ₹8.75 lakh — but she is 10th pass, under 50 and domiciled in Maharashtra, so CMEGP is open to her now.
Second case: a 47-year-old general-category man opening a ₹15 lakh service unit in Pune city. CMEGP’s published age limit is 45, so he should check with the DIC first. Under PMEGP (no upper age limit) he would get 15% = ₹2,25,000, if the scheme is extended.

Which is better? On the same project the subsidy is usually the same. CMEGP is better if you live in Maharashtra and meet its age and education rules, especially while PMEGP’s extension is pending. PMEGP is better if you are over 45 (50 for special category), from outside Maharashtra, or OBC / minority, where its special-category rate can be 10% higher. The calculator shows both for your project.

Frequently asked questions
How much subsidy do I get under CMEGP? General category: 15% of the project cost in urban areas and 25% in rural areas. Special category (SC, ST, women, ex-servicemen, differently abled): 25% urban and 35% rural. On a ₹50 lakh manufacturing project that is up to ₹17.5 lakh; on a ₹20 lakh service project up to ₹7 lakh.
What is the CMEGP interest rate? The scheme does not fix a rate. The bank charges its normal term-loan / MSME rate (enter it in the calculator). The subsidy is back-ended: it sits with the bank for 3 years and then reduces your loan. Ask your bank whether it charges interest on the subsidy part during those 3 years.
Who is eligible for CMEGP and what is the age limit? Maharashtra residents aged 18 to 45 (50 for special category) starting a new unit. Projects above ₹10 lakh need a 7th-standard pass and above ₹25 lakh a 10th-standard pass. Only one person per family (self and spouse), and not if you already took a government subsidy. Some 2025 summaries say the upper age limit was removed; confirm with your DIC.
Which banks give CMEGP loans? Scheduled banks in Maharashtra take CMEGP cases; Bank of Maharashtra and RBL Bank have scheme pages. You pick the bank and branch while applying on maha-cmegp.gov.in.
Do I need a project report for CMEGP? Yes. The bank sanctions the loan on your project report: machinery, building or shed, working capital, sales and repayment plan. Use our free project report for bank loan tool.
What is the difference between PMEGP and CMEGP, and which is better? Both give the same 15–35% subsidy rates and the same ₹50 lakh / ₹20 lakh limits. CMEGP is Maharashtra’s own scheme, needs local domicile and has an age limit; PMEGP is central (KVIC), has no upper age limit and treats OBC and minorities as special category. PMEGP’s approval ran to 31 March 2026 and its extension is not yet confirmed, so in 2026 CMEGP is the safer route for most Maharashtra applicants.
Is there a CMEGP udyog list (activity list) PDF in Marathi? The allowed and not-allowed activities are set out in the GR and on maha-cmegp.gov.in, where the application form lets you pick your activity. Ask your District Industries Centre for the current list; this page does not host a copy.
