Common questions
Who can get a CGTMSE loan? New and existing micro and small enterprises in manufacturing, services and retail/wholesale trade, through banks and eligible NBFCs. Medium enterprises and accounts already marked NPA are not covered.
Can I apply for CGTMSE directly? No. You apply for a loan at your bank and ask them to cover it under CGTMSE; the bank registers the guarantee.
Is there a CGTMSE scheme for startups? DPIIT-recognised startups use the separate Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups (CGSS).
